Humans need for shelter goes back to the caveman and is one of the fundamentals of survival and existence. Through time their usage has developed from humble dwellings to extravagent  palaces and cathedrals. Design and building techniques have become more and more varied and sophisticated and towns and cities have grown to enormous sizes to accommodate an ever increasing global population.
